Alex Schibli bought an island in the New York Archepelegio that he can call his own and we went out there in canoes and rowboats to shoot his family having a picnic on it. It was hot, the rowboat paddles gave me blisters. The shoot was scheduled for 12 noon, probably the worst time of day lighting wise. In short it was rough. I had to use fill flash to deal with the harsh shadows and the heat was intense. Still in the end it worked out ( have some minor emotional scars from the experience but nothing too bad) and it made the cover of The Pulse section of the New York Post today and the jump which helps with the healing process alot.
