Who is this man? He walked across the runway TWICE at the Karen Walker show on Saturday

I was shooting the runway at Karen Walker on Saturday 2/3/07 and saw something I haven't ever seen in over five years of shooting fashion. A man in the front row who was sitting next to Shalom Harlow, got up in the middle of the show and walked across the runway - TWICE. Not only did he walk out, after a while HE CAME BACK and walked directly behind another model as the show was happening.
Who is the shmuck and why was he sitting front row next to Shalom Harlow?
One of the photographers shooting during the show came up to him afterwards and told him in a nice way that he had really messed everyone up. His response?
"Go fuck yourself"
Please id this man and ban him from ever coming to a show again or carrying his stuff in a pillow case.

I think it's great. Runways need to loosen up. And further, photographers are such hypocrites-- in cycling, photographers often trip up the leader, costing stage wins. Granted two different worlds, but nonetheless.

At the end of the day, this drifter you're scrutinizing is giving this designer blogpress it wouldn't get otherwise!

  3. I agree that runways have room to loosen up and there are alot of shows where whimsy and fun are the norm. Heatherette, Betsey Johnson, Benjamin Cho the other day (I'm going to post the shot I'm referring to). I don't think that it should be someone in the audience who "shows the way" if a designer wants to do something free form that should be up to them. It's their clothing, and their money paying for the show. As a photographer it's not really that big a deal that he walked across the runway, There was still plenty of time to get a clean shot of the model. However the designer's video of the event is basically ruined. He or she paid alot of money to have someone videotape the show that they could then run continuously in their office or stores. Now they don't have that. And the person who ruined the shot for them could have had the courtesy and respect not to interfere with the designer's work.
