This was last night at Islero. I'm using multiple radio slaved flash units for some of the lighting effects. Not sure if I'm crazy about this when I can only sidelight as was the case here where the couple was in a corner booth. It created some fairly harsh shadows. Works much better for me when I have some room to back light the subject and create some hair light and rim light. In any case

Another spectacular Burning Man 2007. Prepare for much nudity and hippies plus some wonderful artwork and people pix. We saw the man being burned early on Tuesday night during an arson attack and had a great time overall. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

I was shooting the runway at Karen Walker on Saturday 2/3/07 and saw something I haven't ever seen in over five years of shooting fashion. Despite what you might expect from a band that was born of a reality show I thought the performance at Radio City Music hall last night was really fun and enjoyed the music quite a bit. Lukas Rossi really pulls off the rock star role and has alot of charisma. I think they have a chance of making it with someone like him fronting the band.Here are two of my favorite shots.

These guys are pretty amazing. They use four turntables to play individual instruments rather than tracks, so it's like a four piece band on the decks.

I shot this during the packaging shoot I did tonite for Richard Smallwood whose a huge gospel artist. One of the things that I really liked about the whole experience was how nice everybody was. The audience was dressed to the nines and people were just really friendly and sweet. I shot a party hosted by Plymouth gin. They brought in 5 bartender/chefs who mixed some ridiculous drinks. I met Leesa and Laura (identical, mirror image twins(!!??!!) who were working it and we hung out afterwards at The Park A.R.E. Weapons party.
